What is the meaning of all the technical words?
Storage – Web pages are generally quite small. However things like emails, pictures and downloadable files take up storage space. An average small business would need around 100mb.
Bandwidth – This is the amount of data you are allowed to send across the internet each month. The more popular your site or the more email you use the more bandwidth you need. An average business would need around 1 to 2Gb of bandwidth per month.
Email Accounts – Most hosting packages provide email accounts. You can either access your email anywhere using webmail, or you can access your email account using a programme like Microsoft Outlook. You can receive your own personal email address e.g. bob@yourbusiness.com.au
FTP Access – This simply means you can log in and add or delete pages from your website
cPanel – This is short for Control Panel. A Control Panel lets you customise your services
mySql Databases – These are what allow you to have websites that interact with your visitors
